Still remember last year this time, I was excited about 'O' Levels, I was wanting this day to arrive as soon as possible ... January to March was a 撞墙期 to me. Being a consistenly top 3 student, I started failing almost all my revision tests for almost all subjects except for Chemistry and Chinese but got a very low barely pass for my Chemistry..... I was so depressed and 崩溃. I was even on the verge of dropping POA (Lucky I never drop) as I scored 1.5/15 for my Disposal test which 垫底. My E Maths which I thought was improving was not that good either .... Physics was improving but English was slipping its way down very fast. Things began to get better in April. Speech Day for Top in Level for Chinese gave me another boost to do better for my 'O's in June, revision test marks for most subjects went up, my Chemistry even top for 4 consecutive tests :) However, Mr Pang told me, 'Wesley, your English used to be one of the Top few in the class and you're one of the potential A1 students but this year, your English grades have been slipping a lot.' I was again demoralised and answered Mr Pang, 'Chinese is my priority now' He replied,' Make sure you spend more time on English after your Chinese Os'. May and June was tormenting. English and Chinese Prelim 1 before the June break. Top in level for Chinese Prelim 1 together with Tirta. Chinese 'O's, was confident of getting an A1 but again worried ..... June break came. Spent the 1st 2 weeks in school having intensive lessons, then the other 2 weeks in Yishun Library mugging for Prelim 1. July, Prelim 1 came .... Thought I've done well(quite well done in actual fact) , but my position slipped from 3rd to 5th. I vowed to get back to the top 3 in Prelim 2. Worked very hard for POA, Chemistry and Physics. August, got back Chinese Os result.... A1 :) Started to work hard for E Maths .... Practised at least 60 questions a day .... Initially was very depressed because my revision tests marks were dropping every test .... from 34/40 to 22/40 to 17/20 to 13/20 .... When I got back my 13/20 test paper, I burst into tears and cried for 2 periods. Jun Han, Andy and Ms Liu consoled me and encouraged me. Really appreciate all those who have helped me. I told myself I've to be stronger. I worked even harder and a 35/40 appeared. :) Chemistry revision tests were quite good for me. Erjill and I were constantly the Top 2 in the table and there was 1 test which I got 21/30 that pulled me down ..... Physics and POA were improving very fast .... CHS was improving but at a slower pace.... September break, again mugged then Prelim 2. Thought I've done badly but to my surprise, 3rd in class with A1 in E Maths!!!! Failed POA.... Vowed to study extra hard.... after prelim 2 was really 坎坷... Studied really very hard and during Graduation Ceremony, I was so 依依不舍.... Cant bear to leave this school, teacher, classmates,schoolmates.... 我带着眼泪进来，但带着笑容离开。。。St. Gabs gave me plenty of good memories..... Study extra during Study leave .... Os came, due to stress, I fell sick during the period of Os which affected my performance a little but still managed to clear that....after Os was the worst period .... My whole body collapsed .... Fell sick for almost 2 months until now I'm still a little sick .... Haiz .... My motivation to study : NYJC .... I remember putting NYJC school logo everywhere I study, even during Os when I couldnt solve a question, I look at NY's logo for support and strength.
My 2011 resolutions
- Stay very healthy and try not to fall sick
- Get my desired grades on 10th Jan to go NYJC
- World Peace, no wars
- Family to stay healthy and be as happy as before
- Find new friends in my new school
- Hope to acheive good results in JC
